Someplace the university really was a prison
Found at our partner University of Hasselt in Belgium. I am Gunter Süß, Professor for Media in Science, Culture, and Society and Executive Director of the IKKS (Institute of Competence, Communication and Languages) at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences.
A team of the IKKS took part in the Forum Wissenschaftskommunikation (Forum Science Communication)
held at Urania Berlin in December 2024. Especially the keynote of Prof. Dr. David Kaldewey (University of Bonn) on Science Communication in a "crisis of the facticity" was a jewel of complexity in times of simple answers.
After the kick-off meeting at Chania (Crete), the team met for the second time in person in October 2024 at the University of Petrosani to discuss the next steps of the EU funded project, which runs from 2024 to 2028. Within the project, our group of Mittweida University of Applied Science is responsible for science communication. More to come soon.
